MUSICAL SYMBOLS & NOTATIONS
Notation is the way music is represented by written symbols, including notes and other markings indicating how a songs is played.
The following are the symbols and their meanings used in sheet music.
WARM UP
1. Finger exercise helps to develop your fluency, speed and left hand-right hand coordination.
2.Start slow and build up the speed.
3.Use fingers 1, 2, 3 and 4 of your left hand, don't skip the little finger.
4.Use a pick and do alternate picking.
GUITAR NOTES
All the frets on the fret board of the guitar has been assigned each a name which we call as a note.

Tuning the guitar is the most essential thing before you start playing it. A good musician must know how to tune his instrument. There are various tools out there to make the work easier. However the best way to tune the guitar is tuning by ear. Apps like G-String for Android users and Guitar Tuna for Windows users are great tools for tuning the guitar.

HOW TO HOLD A PLECTRUM
1. Turn your hand so that your thumb is facing you.
2. Slide your pick between your thumb and the middle of your index finger.
3. Keep a relaxed grip on your pick with the pointed end sticking out away from your hand.
4. Your pick should be held under the center of your thumb.
HOW TO HOLD A GUITAR
1.Sit down on a chair, put your two feet on the floor and keep your back straight.
2. Put the waist of the guitar on your right leg (if you're right-handed) and hold the back of the guitar against your stomach and chest.
3. Keep the neck of the guitar horizontal to the floor.
